Reasons to Impeach Trump

Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich posted four articles of the Constitution violated by Donald Trump to call for impeachment.

Reich laid out each of the areas Trump has set himself up for impeachment. Each one forms a pillar of the attack on Trump and the road to impeaching him.

Reich is another of a growing list of politicians who see the dangers with which Trump threatens this nation. And he presented a list of violations, all Constitutional, that brilliantly spells out reasons to impeach Trump.

The 45th President of the United States swore on the Bible to protect and defend the United States Constitution.

Violations of the U.S. Constitution
  1. Trump swore that he would “faithfully” execute the laws of the Constitution. A myriad of fabrications while offering no proof resulting in unfathomable slanderous attacks against the press, fellow citizens, politicians, specifically former President Barack Obama.

  2. Hate speech against Muslims and Muslim ban are direct violations of the freedom of religion. Religious discrimination is prohibited by the U.S. Constitution. Referring to the press as the "enemy of the people" is also in violation of the First Amendment.

  3. Article I Section 9 forbids government officials from accepting things of value from foreign governments. Trump’s decision not to fully divest from his business holdings is a direct violation of this article.

  4. Trump uses his influence and office to steer foreign dignitaries to his hotels, thus increasing his profits. And, most recently, China’s decision to grant his trademark applications for the Trump brand violates the Constitution.

  5. Article III, Section 3, treason against the United States of America. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.

There is mounting evidence regarding Trump’s ties to Russia, America's enemy.

The Case for Impeachment by Allan J. Lichtman

Amazon Book Review

In The Case for Impeachment, Distinguished Professor of History at American University Allan J. Lichtman illuminates exactly how the impeachment of President Trump might work by showing how his actions—past or future—make him uniquely vulnerable to impeachment proceedings. From his dealings with Russia, to his conflicts of interest at home and abroad, to the numerous civil suits involving him, Lichtman zeroes in on Mr. Trump’s key areas of weakness.

Professor Lichtman also offers a fascinating look at presidential impeachments throughout American history, including the often-overlooked story of Andrew Johnson’s impeachment, little known details about Richard Nixon’s resignation, as well as Bill Clinton’s hearings.

Many historians and legal scholars agree that we are facing uncharted political waters and most citizens—politics aside—want to know where the country is headed. Professor Lichtman has correctly predicted every Presidential election since 1984, including the election of 2016. Now, he is focusing on the 45th President of the United States, demonstrating his view that it is not a question of if President Trump will be impeached, but a question of when.
