The Power Within

The noise of the external world mutes the sound of the internal world and intuition pays the price.

There is a disconnect from ourselves, from one another, and the world around us.

Building walls literally and figuratively won't solve any problems but will most definitely create additional universal conundrums.

One has to wonder how our children are shaping their lives and consequently their future by the culture around them? The video games, where killing is emphasized, coupled with deleterious music - be it hard core rap or heavy metal rock - has scarred the senses and will continue to desensitize our progeny.

Collective thoughts become our shared reality. Unfortunately, to our peril, we live in a fear-based society, where thoughts are energy and energy flows where attention goes.

So what does this mean and what can we do about it?

The solution is rather simple, we must change our thought process by altering our mindset. It is incumbent upon society to change the way we think about ourselves and others; especially those people who happen to be different.

The common denominator of most religions is love. The general theme is love for humanity, not just loving those who are like us.

We have to view the world from the inside out, not from the outside in. It is the latter that frightens us and what has this planet embroiled in maleficent chaos.

The phrase, "Inn Saei" in the Icelandic language has multiple meanings. It means "Intuition," "to see within," "to see from the inside out." Analyzed further, 'Inn Saei' equates to "knowing yourself well enough to be able to put yourself in other people's shoes."

Mother Teresa was 5'0" in height (between 100 and 110 lbs), Mahatma Ghandi was 5'5" (102 lbs), and Dr. King stood at 5'7" (150 lbs). Although limited in physical stature and financial power (the Vatican and the Roman Catholic Church used Mother Teresa for financial gain), these three individuals made monumental impacts worldwide.

You too (the reader), are a purposeful entity with the same innate abilities to be a positive force in the world.

Ghandi stated, "be the change you want to see in the world."

Dr. King said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."

Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu - Mother Teresa - so eloquently stated in her Albanian-Indian intonation, "If you judge people, you have no time to love them."
